Meanwhile, back in San Angelo, Texas, on March 12, 1935, Gandy's celebrated its grand opening having sold $0 worth of products. "The only thing that kept us from going broke that first year was the loyal, hardworking people working with me," said founder Loy Gandy. Luckily, all the work paid off, and the dairy started booming in the decades after, delivering delicious milk all across West Texas. While Bell and Gandy's operated independently for many years, in 1995 they eventually consolidated under the Gandy's name.
Today, our milk is still a West Texas favorite and a Quality Chekd® affiliate, and we’re proud to nourish our neighbors in San Angelo, Midland-Odessa, Amarillo, Abilene and parts of New Mexico. Call us biased, but there’s just something about the goodness of Gandy's that keeps it tasting fresh after all these years. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
